INVITEES Does Not Appear on My Calendar on iPhone 4

I am not very “techie” but I just set up my Google calendarand synced it to my iphone 4.  When I created a cleandar event on Google Calendar I had the option to invite people.  That option does not appear on my ios Calendar on my iPhone.  Help.
